Acne is a skin disease that most commonly affects men and women of various ages and occurs in all races. In adults, however, more women than men have acne. Acne is caused by glands overactive sebaceous plug. Acne is the term for plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), pimples and even deeper lumps (cysts or nodules) that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the arms. Generally, acne refers to clogged pores that become blackheads and pimples. Pimples result when a pore is partially blocked, allowing some trapped sebum (oil), bacteria and dead skin cells to slowly drain to the surface. Many lanolin derivatives are also harmful for people with acne prone so check the ingredients. Choose oil-free products for hair. Keep your hair away from your face especially when exercising. If you have oily hair, wash regularly to reduce oil. If you wear sports glasses, helmets, hats or headbands while doing physical activities that can get around breakouts eyes, the line of hair or forehead.
