Beginning at the age of 13 years, I worked with my dad every weekend and summer vacation in homes throughout Philadelphia repairing and rewiring all levels of systems residential electrical. It has taken me many years to learn the skills they use every day. I am proud to be an electrician. I know how to run new cables in the right place to control a light. I'm sure it takes cash to run my wires if I have to add something to a circuit. I realize that to match cable black with white. I understand that the red wire is used. And I also believe that all these will change in the near future.

Light Switches with microchips

Currently, the way a wire house is labor intensive and inflexible. house wiring can become less complicated in the future. The difference could be the way to control the devices in our home's electrical system. microchip control switches will be cheap enough to enable be incorporated in all aspects. We would get rid of the complicated wiring circuits as the circuits in three-way switch legs. Everything that everyone needs to be light a simple feed, so anyone could add new circuits.

Computer technology is advancing and taking over all aspects of our lives. You can already buy the light switches in the microchips are built. They can receive signals from other devices and control the lights in your home. Groups of lights can work together to create moods. For example, I like to use my iPhone to control the lights in my house and create moods. A three-way switch remote control be added to a circuit without the addition of cables. Ceiling fans come with a remote control so you can control from his bed.

Panels control

The same would occur in the places you want to control your lighting. Instead of light switches in every room, you control panels would feed fed simple. These panels could use the home network for integrated control switches on each light. You would be able to tell each control panel to act whatever way you want it to act. Each panel can be a timer, dimmer or mood setter. It could also function in other parts of the house such as radio or curtains.

These affect the way a wire house. The physical cabling is greatly simplified. All you have to know is the correct cable size and how to match black and white wires to each other. The skills and tricks I've learned over the years will become obsolete. It seems that I will have to learn to program what I'll be ready for the future of home wiring.
